C&D Lumber Co. is a 6th generation family-owned and operated lumber manufacturer. We have been in business for over 130 years. Our sister company, Silver Butte, has significant private timberlands that are managed for sustainable use in the forest products industry.

C&D focuses its attention on high-quality products made from Douglas Fir, Incense Cedar and Port Orford Cedar. We produce a variety of specialty rough timbers, construction timbers, cedar decking and fence rails, as well as dimensional lumber. C&D believes that our people are our biggest asset.

    • C&D operates primarily on one shift. We believe that operating one shift provides a good match of production capacity to our long-term sustainable timber supply and allows us to work our employees year-round without seasonal layoffs.

    • Our manufacturing hours during the week are ten-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. This schedule accommodates our training programs and preventive maintenance programs by making time available on Fridays for a variety of learning opportunities. (It also provides those employees with big plans a jump on the weekend traffic!)
